Hack The Gap Bridge Program is a paid learning and virtual experience for young adults ages 18-24 years. This program is sponsored by Ramsey County . ALL participants will receive a $750 stipend at the end of the program. This virtual program has been adapted to an opportunity for students to build tech solutions and products over a weekend. Participants will be able to complete the program independently in their own time and receive an electronic payment.

Theme: Build tech solutions that make this world a little less scary! Examples include building an app that helps people find resources and essentials, addressing policy issues, increasing health and wellness and other key challenges we need to address.

When: The official hackathon will on Halloween weekend. You will have 4 weeks to access additional mentorship opportunities and finish your projects.

  • October 31st: 11am - 3pm

  • November 1st: 12pm - 3pm

  • A developer

  • A designer

  • A social justice advocate

  • A business/idea person

There are 50 slots available! We are prioritizing women and non-binary participants but all are welcome to sign up. We’ll confirm your participation via email.

FAQ:

  • Can I still participate if I’m not living in Ramsey County? Yes you can. But you won’t be eligible for the $750 stipend

  • Will I be able to balance this program along with school work? Yes, we have designed the program to work around people’s schedules as everything is recorded
